Arts and Crafts Testing

Distinguishing the differences between hobby items and traditional toy products can be challenging. Our MTS team of technicians and engineers have been testing, studying and analyzing a wide range of arts-and-craft products for years. Our technical advice is practical and customized for each product.

Our experience allows us to provide services such as:

  • Potential hazard evaluation: technical-specific consultations at the earlier stages of product development.
  • Age grading: psychologist-determined evaluations based on child development factors and different international guidelines such as the European Commission, ISO, ASTM, Australian and Canadian standards.
  • Assessment of conformity certificates: determining whether laboratory certificates comply with European norms
  • Post-test consultations: technical expertise to assist in improving non-conforming product features identified during product testing
  • Thermal desorption (TD) and Solid Phase Mico-extraction (SPME)
  • X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
  • We conduct pre-production testing and assessment to prevent costly product errors before mass production and to achieve regulatory compliance requirement, including EN62115:2005 (Safety of Electric Toys) and hardline products mentioned above.
